New digital tachograph regulations are being introduced across the whole European Community. From May 2006 any new goods vehicles will need to be fitted with a digital tachograph instrument. Management will need to know how to prepare and will have to arrange for their drivers and staff to be fully trained and must make arrangements for the information recorded by the instrument to be analysed and for action to be taken if drivers fail to properly observe the regulations.
