Major Furniture Retailer – A national review of the potential impact of the Road Transport (Working Time) Regulations 2005 on the company's third party home delivery service arrangements. The outcome was a detailed report with recommendations for changes to present working practices that would permit the company's contractors to observe the requirements of the new regulations .

Major Third Party Logistics Provider – A legal compliance audit to examine the company's present arrangements for provision of vehicle maintenance services and make recommendations for any improvements needed to ensure compliance with Operator's Licence requirements.

Horticultural Growers Consortium – Finding a contractor to set up and operate a shared user distribution service for delivery of plants from fifteen growers to customers throughout the UK. The new arrangement will reduce overall delivery costs by combining deliveries for the same customer on the same vehicle and lead to improved customer service.

Working Time Directive Impact Assessment - for a privately owned bulk tanker business based in Oxfordshire specialising in the transport of cement powder for major manufacturers. The objective was to ensure that the operation was fully compliant with the new regulations and provide advice on how to set up Work Force Agreements.

Transport Strategy Review – to determine the transport resources needed for a major national bakery chain planning to relocate one of its regional production and distribution centres.

Water Industry – A transport strategy review for one of the UK's largest regional water supply companies. The objective was to improve efficiency and reduce costs for its bio-solids road tanker operation. This was followed by the provision of support with the preparation of an Invitation to Tender and of evaluating the bids received.

D.I.Y Sector – A national logistics strategy review for a Yorkshire based distributor of an extensive range of domestic doors. The project required the application of modern computerised vehicle routing and scheduling software to determine the best transport fleet profile and customer delivery arrangements.

Local Government – A Regional Freight Study commissioned by a group of 10 local authorities which made recommendations for a strategy for dealing with freight issues within the study area over the next 15 – 20 years. All forms of transport were considered including an assessment for the realistic potential for the transfer of freight movements from road to rail.

Healthcare - A study of transport operations for a well-known manufacturer of specialist medical beds, supplying the UK and the European markets. As a result of the study the company achieved overall annual cost reductions in excess of 20%.

Healthcare – A routing and scheduling study to establish the transport resources required for a proposed centralised surgical instrument sterilisation unit. This is part of the UK Government's ongoing national programme (due for completion by 31 March 2007) to replace the current hospital-based sterilisation facilities with a smaller number of modern facilities equipped with the latest technology.

Civil Aviation – A Logistics study to establish the coaching resources required for transporting passengers “airside” between terminal buildings and non-pier-connected aircraft stands. All journeys were meticulously plotted using computer software to establish the resources needed to ensure that all arrivals and departures were serviced to a high standard of punctuality and reliability.

Bakery – A “Hands on” project for an independent bakery conducted over a period of several months. The objective was to develop an optimum customer delivery operation that used the minimum resource level in the most cost effective and efficient manner, while maintaining and (where possible improving upon) current customer service levels.
